The Rolls Royce of Ooolong Tea

Posted by Unknown on 29th Apr 2018

Years ago when broadband first started I used to browse the internet looking for weight-loss fads and pills. Many years ago oolong tea was featured on websites with a time-sensitive window to buy in 10 minutes or you lose your place forever. The worst part was once the customer paid they were locked in financial contracts which you could not easily exit. Every ooolong tea that was promoted was touted as the only one guaranteed to lose weight to the expense of all else. I was so dismayed that I was advised to approach a tea connoisseur for common-sense advise who basically said it was all a marketing exercise to get you hooked into a payment stream where you could not back out easily. The notion that their heavily promoted oolong was the only one with the weight loss benefit was purely misleading. I used to love going for yum cha in restaurants and drinking their oolong with my meal - why should something so ubiquitous in Chinese culture assume such exclusivity all of a sudden? My guess it was like the goji berry marketing hype many years ago when we used to have to go to chinese enclaves and speak chinese dialects to get goji for fair price. Anyway all very confusing to the customer. Anyway it always was and always will be that the chinese were all slim and their secret was in fact oolong! Several years ago I used to follow chinese dietary therapy and cook with chinese culinary herbs which is pretty good for a westerner but I am totally sold on the idea of something that has traditionally stood to test of time. Don't fall for marketing gimmicks, this strain of oolong is an A grade tea in my opinion and even my GP doctor who is Chinese said I will lose weight drinking it, the only warning is to drink in the MORNING otherwise it can cause insomnia. You can re-use the tea for up to 3-4 times so you get more bang for your buck. My doctor told me to drink it as I am middle-aged and have to get the weight down. Previously I honestly had a lot of success with weightloss and green tea but oolong is really the definitive tea when it comes to shedding those pounds. I tried Oriental Beauty oolong for its novelty value and the taste is slightly different to traditionally processed oolong. You will like the flavour but it departs slightly from the more proliferated oolong out there. All in all I was really happy with this tea and commend it to anyone wanting the health and weight-loss benefits
