Here at The Tea Hut we understand how important it is for you to have affordable, fair and fast shipping options (and great tea). Like you we also love to shop online, this is why we ship your order fast, charge a flat rate per order and give you the choice between:
Standard Post - $7.95 5-12 business days (estimate only)
Express Post - $11.95 2-5 business days (estimate only) - Please note that we do not guarantee these express delivery times and cannot refund shipping costs for overdue parcels.

Same Day Order Dispatch
We know it is important for you to receive your tea order quickly so all orders made before 3pm AEDT are dispatched the same day! (Mon-Fri excl. public holidays). Orders made after this time will be dispatched the next day. (excludes wholesale orders)
Can You Deliver to PO Boxes and Australia Post Parcel Lockers?
Yes, we deliver to both PO Boxes and Parcel Lockers. In fact we can deliver to any valid address in Australia - all Australian's deserve great tea after all :)
You will receive notification via email when your order is shipped and we will give you a tracking number so that you can track your order online at Australia Post or by our selected couriers (Except for individual tea samples sent via standard letter post no tracking). Usually if you are not home to receive your order Australia Post will take your order to the nearest post shop for collection (please monitor the provided tracking as not always will a card be left letting you know that it is awaiting collection). If your order is sent via courier they will leave a card advising your parcel has been taken to your nearest Parcel Collect agent or instructions for re-delivery. If you are unsure at all please get in touch and we will be happy to help or contact the couriers directly.
*If you are at work during weekdays we recommend that you have your order delivered to your workplace if possible.
Authority to Leave (Safe Drop)
If you would like your parcel to be left without a signature please add this to your order comments during checkout. Please Note: If you have given permission for an item to be left if your premises is unattended we can not be held responsible for lost or missing items. It is up to the judgement of Australia Post/Couriers as to whether or not your parcel will be left unattended even when authority to leave is granted. We recommend a signature on delivery as the safest delivery option.
If you need to change your address after it has been shipped you may be able to do so in your Australia Post My Post account using the same email address that you used on your order with us. Please note that parcels may be delayed if redirected and some parcels may not be able to be redirected.

Yes, here at The Tea Hut we respect your private information, therefore we invest a lot of time and money into our website to ensure that it is safe for you to purchase without any worries. Our website is protected by industry leading GEOTrust 256 bit encryption, thereby offering the highest level of encryption and security possible. (If you are still unsure you can click on the green lock icon top left of your browser, this shows the security of the website that you are on, The Tea Hut's website is up to date with the latest encryption available)
Other websites only encrypt their checkout pages whereas here at The Tea Hut we have encrypted every page on our website for maximum safety. Whether you prefer to shop on your computer or on your mobile your information is always protected. We want your personal information to be safe at all times so we encourage you to view the security of every website you plan on purchasing from - including us (we know that we have nothing to hide)
Parcels Returned by Australia Post or Courier
If for any reason your order is sent back to our offices by Australia Post or Couriers, for example you gave us an incorrect address or failed to collect your parcel from the Post Office/Parcel Collect within 5 business days after an attempted delivery, you will have to pay to have your parcel re-sent. Shipping costs/restocking fees may be incurred if not wanting to have your order resent. We provide tracking numbers on orders so we highly recommend that you sign up for track notifications. If it is as a result of our error we will resend your order super fast at no cost to you.
In the rare event your parcel has not arrived within the designated time frame you may view your tracking on the Australia Post/Couriers website to view the current location, it may have been taken to your local post office for collection. Australia Post also allows an additional 3 business days on top of the estimated delivery date to allow for any unforeseen circumstances. If further information is needed you may contact Australia post or Courier directly and provide your tracking number to get an update or to start an investigation. Alternatively please get in touch with our customer service team so we may follow up on your behalf. Please note that we must be notified within 4 weeks of your shipment date if you are missing a parcel as after this time we may not be able to track your order.
You may return all unopened items in original packaging within 30 days of purchase. For returns/refunds it is the responsibility of the purchaser to pay return shipping. If the return is a result of our error or you received a damaged product we will organise return shipping and refund or replace the item.
Please carefully check your order before payment to ensure you have ordered the correct items and have checked all product descriptions for details. Please call or email our team with any product related questions before ordering if unsure of anything. Please also note that some items do have shorter best before dates and so if you plan on ordering large-multi pack quantities check with us first. As tea is a food product we cannot accept returns on open products for not liking a particular flavour. With herbs/teas people can also react differently and we cannot control this or provide returns in these cases, we have sample packs available to purchase on most products so that you can try small amounts before you commit to buying larger amounts here
Returns must be approved by our staff prior to returning any products. Abuse of the returns policy may result in account suspension.

With natural organic grown products the flavour and/or appearance of herbs can change from batch to batch each season. Even though we strive for consistency we cannot guarantee that the flavour or appearance of herbs will remain the same as this is outside of our control. Please consult with a qualified medical professional before self administering any herbs as they may interact with medications and your personal circumstance.
Please Note: We are an online store only and do not have any pick up option. To have your tea conveniently shipped to your door please choose from the standard or express post options instead.

We do have a new option for those wanting larger sizes bulk bags of some of our most popular products. Please view the category 'Bulk Teas' and place your order online or give us a call. We hope to expand this range over time so for now these are the only products available, you may also order from our retail sizes for all other products.
