The Nostalgia of a cup of Lapsang tea.

Posted by Douglas Gordon on 9th Dec 2019

I am aged 90 years, round about 1935 I was introduced to the art of taking tea by my Victorian grandmother then in her older years and still wearing crinolines.
My aunt served Lapsang tea in the darwing room prepared with a silver tea strainer into Doulton cups. The hot water was poured through the strainer from a solid silver ornamental kettle above a meth burner. I was impressed with the aromatic bouquet of that first mouthful of tea, it was so different from the Liptons loose tea we had at home in Scotland. This memory has stayed with me all my life and I was very glad to find your Tea Hut as a good source of a variety of special tea. Thank you. Rare Pleasure!

Absolute bliss to drink REAL Lapsang Souchong again!
In Europe, perverted laws have virtually wiped it off the market and my last order there had a strange taste to it.
